I’ve always been fascinated by the 1960s fashion. Although the “poodle skirts” with fitted tops in 50s do look fantastic, I can’t imagine myself going to work or a grocery store with my tutus :)

When I started sewing for the first time, one of the biggest challenges for me was to insert zippers in a clean way.
Then I found this great tutorial provided by the Threads Magazine. I wish I could buy that mag in Turkey. Unfortunately the only sewing magazine around here is Burda.
I wanted to give you the instructions with step-by-step photos but then I realized that wonderful Sandra Betzina may have been slightly more experienced than me and could explain it better. New Color to the Retro pattern
What do I do? I try to get the best out of life...How did it all start? One day I decided that it is time for me to stop paying for clothes so much and make them myself. But the problem was, I had never sewn before in my life! So, I started following my inner voice... and youtube records... Since then, I sew whenever I can and defy the zillion dollar fashion industry in my own way :))
