Hello there. I want to make a peter pan collar but can’t find a nice pattern. How can I draw it myself?

Hi! Making a Peter Pan collar is very easy and fun. You really don’t need a pattern for that. ‘Cause you can draw it easily!

All you need to do is:

1- measure around your neck

2 - add 1.5 inches to that

3- draw it circularly on a pattern paper

4- decide on the width of your collar (for ex. 3 inches) and draw it around your initial circle in a parallel way until you come to the collar ends. Towards the end of the collars, combine the two lines. The photo below would help you visualize it much better:  

• You can do all the measuring and pattern making yourself;
• or you can use an existing blouse / dress pattern;
• or you can draw a pattern by using one of your favorite outfits like this (click on the photo if you’d like to see another tutorial from another talented blogger):
