New Designer trials / skirt - Rachel Comey

I literally ADORED this skirt pattern! (Vogue / Rachel Comey v1247)

It’s very easy, very comfy, very practical. You can sew it in an hour!  :)

I chose this fabric along with my birdy print top , but it turned out to be one of my favorites.

It was very easy to sew and the blue-green mixed color of it makes easy to wear with many other color options. Unfortunately the photos couldn’t show the color quality of it well enough.

So, let’s come to the pattern review of the skirt. The inseam pockets at the front are brilliant! It’s so easy to wear - I feel like I’m wearing a very fancy apron for work :) I will definitely try a denim look in coming weeks.

Perhaps you can insert similar inseam pockets to your existing skirt patterns, instead of actually buying this pattern. Maybe the below information will be of help.

So, after cutting all the parts, you sew the pocket lining on the right side of the skirt front.

After stitching the lining, you fold them inwards and sew the front top to the front bottom like this.

The “hardest” part is over. Rest is cut-copy-paste :)

The only part I dislike about sewing, serging that is, is over as well…

That’s it!

cheers :)

What do I do? I try to get the best out of life...How did it all start? One day I decided that it is time for me to stop paying for clothes so much and make them myself. But the problem was, I had never sewn before in my life! So, I started following my inner voice... and youtube records... Since then, I sew whenever I can and defy the zillion dollar fashion industry in my own way :))
